VOICO

Your phone agents, inside ChatGPT.

Add Voico to ChatGPT as a connector and ask about your calls the way you'd ask a colleague. ChatGPT pulls call counts, transcripts and costs from your Voico account and can update your agents once you confirm.

Before you start

  • A Voico account. If you don't have one yet, book a free intro call.
  • A paid ChatGPT plan with developer mode for custom connectors. In Business and Enterprise workspaces, an admin may need to switch it on first.
  • Credit on your Voico account if you want ChatGPT to place calls. Reading data doesn't use credit.

Connect Voico to ChatGPT

  1. Turn on developer mode.In ChatGPT, go to Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced settings, and switch on developer mode.
  2. Create the connector.Under Apps & Connectors, click Create. Name: Voico, URL: https://mcp.voico.ai/mcp, authentication: OAuth.
  3. Sign in and approve access.ChatGPT sends you to Voico. Log in with your Voico account and allow access. You'll land back in ChatGPT when it's done.
  4. Turn Voico on in a chat.Start a new chat, click +, choose developer mode and switch Voico on.
  5. Try it.Ask something like "How many calls did my agents take last week?"

OpenAI moves these menus from time to time. If developer mode isn't under Apps & Connectors, check Settings, then Security. To disconnect, remove Voico under Apps & Connectors and ChatGPT loses access straight away.

Things you can ask

  • Summarise yesterday's calls: how many were there, and what were most of them about?
  • Which callers asked for a callback this week? List name, number and request.
  • Compare call duration across my agents over the last 30 days.
  • Read the transcript of the last call and draft a short follow-up email to the caller.
  • How much credit is left, and will it last until the end of the month at our current usage?
  • Add to my reception agent's prompt that we're closed on 24 December.

What the connector can do

A note on placing calls

make_call dials a real phone number and uses your credit. ChatGPT asks for your confirmation before it runs, so check the number and agent before you approve. Only ask ChatGPT to call people who expect to hear from you, and check that your agent's opening line makes clear the caller is speaking with an AI.

Privacy and data

Voico is hosted in Germany and built for GDPR-compliant use. When you use the connector, ChatGPT reads the data it needs to answer your question, such as call summaries or transcripts, and shows it in your conversation. What ChatGPT does with your conversations is governed by your settings and your agreement with OpenAI. Voico doesn't use your call data to train AI models.

Transcripts can contain personal data about your callers, so treat conversations that include them the same way you'd treat the transcripts themselves. Details are in our privacy policy.

Troubleshooting

Developer mode isn't available on every ChatGPT plan, and in Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin has to allow it. Also check Settings, then Security, since OpenAI moves the option from time to time.
The connector has to be switched on per chat. Click + in the chat, choose developer mode and turn Voico on. Mentioning Voico in your question helps too.
Check that you signed in with the Voico account your agents live in. If you're a partner agency, ask ChatGPT to filter by a specific client.
The agent needs outbound calling switched on, a phone number assigned, and credit on the account. Ask ChatGPT to check your credit and the agent's phone number.
Remove Voico under Settings, then Apps & Connectors, and create the connector again. If that doesn't fix it, contact support.
